It’s like things are finally starting to come full circle. If you’ve followed me from the beginning (when we found out we were pregnant) then you remember how it came as quite a shock and something we weren’t expecting. I remember feeling guilty that I should be more excited (don’t get me wrong, we were elated) but there was always something stopping me from reaching full excitement. Was it nerves? The fact that I was going to be a first time mom? Knowing that life as we knew it would never be the same?
Those feelings have fleeted and, now, I couldn’t be happier/more excited/and overflowing with anticipation if I tried! I am so eager to meet this little girl who I feel moving in my belly everyday. I love feeling her move around, giving little kicks here or there. It will forever amaze me that women have the ability to create and house another life inside of them. For 9 months! We go through the morning sickness, the back pain, heartburn, and all of those not-so-fabulous things but the result of those 9 months? A human life! Nothing short of spectacular.
Moms in general, will forever amaze me. Their never-ending love and devotion to their children is some of the fiercest love I have ever seen and I can’t wait to join their ranks and call myself a “mom”. I know my own mother is and will always be a supermom to me and my sister. We couldn’t have asked for a better role model if we tried.
I haven’t done this in a while so here are a few updates…
