2012 :: In a Nutshell

Whew, 2012. Where did the time go? This certainly was a year to remember!

So here’s our 2012 in a nutshell. Here we go….

We moved from the sunny state of Texas to the cold northern region of Pennsylvania. Can you say climate & culture change? As I write this there’s about two feet of snow on the ground and it’s still coming down. When will I see the sun again?!

We traveled. A lot. San Diego, Canada, Atlanta, Boston, Austin, Mobile, Cincinnati, Memphis, Pittsburgh, and my favorite place of all- Europe. A month of visiting some of that continent’s most exquisite places and taking in all there was to do. Not a care in the world. I will always be grateful for that uninterrupted time with my husband. Such amazing memories :)

And then there was the surprise. A baby girl on the way! At first it was shocking,(ok, it was a lot shocking) but, looking back, I can’t imagine things any other way. What better thing to have happen than to move somewhere new, where I had to quit my job, and then find out that we have a baby on the way? It’s like things all fell into place.

I also started this blog! At first it was mainly going to be a place to document our travels through Europe and my baking adventures but then we found out we were pregnant and I decided not to go back to work, so it’s become my outlet. My little piece of sanity. I don’t blog because I make money from it — I do it because I love it. I love sharing all of my baking/crafting/preggo related things and hope that at least somebody out there is benefitting from what I have to say. That is my motivation!

happy-new-year-2013 Overall, it was an incredible year and I am so looking forward to what 2013 has in store!
