Today was my 33-week appointment with my midwife and I am happy to report that things are going great! Baby V’s heartbeat is strong, she’s positioned correctly and overall things couldn’t be better :)
Best moment (aside from hearing my sweet baby’s heartbeat) was when my midwife first walked into the room; she took one look at my feet (which were covered by Uggs) and promptly said, “I’m happy to see that you’re wearing appropriate foot attire for this type of weather.” I’m thinking to myself, “It’s 24 degrees outside and the ground is covered in ice and snow… what else would I be wearing aside from snow boots?!” She then told me how many women she had seen recently because they had “busted their asses” on the sidewalk simply because they were trying to wear “cute shoes” instead of “practical ones”. Leave it to Kim to start out the appointment on funny note.
Here are some updates…
How far along? 33 weeks
Total weight gain: 21 lbs.
Maternity Clothes? Yep! But can still wear some normal shirts too (as long as they are long).
Stretch Marks? No
Best moment this week: This doesn’t happen every time, but when I talk to Baby V, I’ll actually see/feel my stomach move and I love it! It’s beyond precious.
Miss Anything? Sleeping through the night! I’m now up at least 2-3 times a night.
Movement: Oh yes. It’s so funny to see my whole stomach shift to one side or the other.
Food Cravings: No, still haven’t had any.
Have you started to show? Is that really a question?
Gender: GIRL :)
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button In or Out: Out
Wedding Rings On or Off: On
Happy or Moody most of the time? Definitely happy & feel so incredibly blessed.
Looking forward to: Just enjoying this month with my husband, because it’s our last full month with just the two of us. Next month, we will be a family of 3!
