Happy Monday Y’all! I hope everyone had a fabulous Father’s Day. I know ours was extra special since it was Ryan’s 1st Father’s Day :) Below is a picture of the fabulous duo- and yes, Harper is rocking her pink FuzziBunz diapers with matching headband.
Today, I thought I’d post about a super easy craft that I made the day before I had my MOPS group over for a play date. First let me say that there are two things I love; fresh flowers and mason jars. Seriously, mason jars are so versatile. They are drinking glasses, vases, candleholders, soap dispensers, and the like. You name it, and they can probably become it. Plus, they’re cheap! You can find mason jars for a dollar at… you guessed it, the dollar store! So, I decided to grab my glue gun and some scissors and turn my extra mason jars into vases with a little burlap and green ribbon.
Mason Jar Vases
- Mason jars (I used six)
- Burlap ribbon with wire edge
- Grosgrain ribbon
- Hot glue gun
- Cut your burlap to fit your mason jar and to keep the cut end smooth fold it over. Glue the folded edge to the other cut end of the burlap.
- Take your ribbon and tie it around the mason jar (which has the burlap already on it). I then like to cut my ends at an angle so it will have “pointy” ends instead of “flat” ends.
- Add your flowers and water and ta-da cute mason jar vases!
