Hello again fellow sassy mommas! Did you think I just up and disappeared? I didn’t…but I did put the blog on hiatus just to re-evaluate my priorities. So let me go ahead and put this out there: While I absolutely LOVE blogging and (hopefully) inspiring people—whether it’s to try a new craft, recipe, etc.—my first and foremost priority is my family (husband + baby). So, when this [blog] starts to take any time away from them, I take pause and try to get everything back on track. My goal now is to write at least one post per week. If I can do more, great, but if not, then at least I’ve hit my goal of one. Family comes first. I hope everyone understands! So here I am, trying once again to hop on this blog train because I miss writing and sharing what I’m learning (and what’s working) during this phase of my life. Not to mention, I love it when someone sends me a message either via my blog or Facebook page saying how one of my tutorials has helped her. It makes me feel like I’m somewhat contributing to society, outside of my little family of three. :) So what have I been up to since my last post in December?
- The biggest development since then is that Harper has turned ONE! I still can’t believe that I have a one-year old (where did the time GO????). And to celebrate, we had not just one, but two birthday parties. One here in Erie and the other down south when Harper and I were visiting my parents.
- On another front, Ryan and I bought a house, which I’m still kind of amazed by since I never thought we’d buy a house in Erie. My mindset when we moved here was “get in, get out, let’s get back to warmer weather and hopefully a larger city ASAP.” That all changed once we welcomed Harper into our lives. My priorities took a 180 and now that we’re here I couldn’t be happier.
- Another major change I’ve made is that I am now gluten-free. It has revolutionized how I feel (so much better!) and really is not that hard to do.
I plan on writing full blog posts on each of these topics as well as many more in the coming weeks. I can’t wait to tell you all about our baby’s development, easy-to-do crafts and décor for the house, and yummy gluten-free recipes that I am discovering.
Thank you for your patience as I have worked through some re-prioritizing in my life. I hope you look forward to reading my upcoming blog posts as much as I’m looking forward to writing them!
